Berkshire Hathaway is the investment vehicle of super-investors Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. Warren Buffett's annual letters to shareholders (from 1977 onwards) contain some of the most common sense financial commentary you are ever likely to come across.

Intelligent Investor

A fortnighthly newsletter (although its content is increasingly delivered online) that differs from many other such newsletters in that it aims to educate its subscribers to make their own informed investment decisions rather than encouraging them to blindly follow their investment "tips".

Outstanding Investor Digest

This newsletter is far from cheap (over US$400 for ten issues) and is not even published to any schedule. The subscription covers ten issues, however long it takes for them to be published and each issue includes interviews with leading value investors. Each year it publishes the only authorised transcript of the Berkshire Hathaway Annual General Meeting. What it lacks in frequency, it certainly makes up for in quality. Although its focus is primarily the US, the principles are universal.
